MidPen Housing will conduct a lottery for two 2-bedroom and one 3-bedroom subsidized rental apartments at the Posolmi Place — formerly Eight Trees — located at 183 Acalanes Dr., Sunnyvale. Applicants who live or work in Sunnyvale and meet the project’s eligibility criteria will receive priority for these units. Community income restrictions apply.
Lottery pre-application packets are available at the Onizuka Crossing leasing office located at 620 E. Maude Ave., Sunnyvale, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Offices are closed 7/4/19 – 7/5/19) or online.
Lottery pre-applications will be accepted only on July 10 and July 11 and must be submitted in person or by mail at the Onizuka Crossing leasing office from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed for lunch between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.)
No fax or email applications will be accepted. Pre-applications not received by 5 p.m. on July 11 will not be accepted (including mailed applications).
Three units Posolmi Place units will be filled via lottery. The other units, 22 of 25 units, will be filled by returning residents of Eight Trees who were displaced during construction.
According to their fact sheet, “Posolmi Place operates under affordable housing programs for senior individuals or families with low, very low, and extremely low income. This program is operated by Posolmi Place without regard to race, color, sex, creed, religion, national origin, physical or mental status, familial status, age, ancestry, marital status, source of income, sexual orientation, gender, or any other arbitrary personal characteristic.”
