Final Salute Honoring Police Chief Sellers

Santa Clara Police Department employees gathered to honor Chief Mike Sellers with a final salute.

Chaplain Dennis Woodsmall provided an invocation and Assistant Chief Dan Winter summarized the Chief’s career. Matt Sellers, a Firefighter with the City of Santa Clara, offered a heartfelt tribute to his father, and Public Safety Dispatchers delivered a final radio call.

An emotional Chief Sellers spoke to his immediate and extended family about ethics, community service, hard work, sacrifice and the importance of family. He wished each member of the Police Department a safe career, then he moved along the lines of police officers and civilian professionals and embraced each one and said, “Thank you.”
