The Winchester Mystery House is bringing an all-new, fully-immersive horror experience called Unhinged to life. This new experience will feature rooms never before open to the public and runs Friday, Sept. 6 through Saturday, Nov. 2.
Autumnal-themed treats and signature spooky craft cocktails will be available for purchase at Winchester Mystery House in the courtyard and gardens.
Craft cocktails include the ‘Corpse Reviver,’ featuring gin, Lillet Blanc, Cointreau, lemon, and Emperor Norton Absinthe; the ‘Spiced Pumpkin Mule,’ featuring vodka, pumpkin, Top Hat Ginger Beer, lime, and all-spiced bitters; the ‘Vieux Carré,’ featuring rye whiskey, cognac, Carpano Antica Vermouth, Benedictine, and Winchester House Bitters; and the ‘’Orange is the New Black’ Martini,’ featuring vodka, activated charcoal, Dry Orange Curacao, and Lillet Blanc.
In addition to Unhinged, Winchester Mystery House visitors can also enjoy a new projection-mapped light show using the home’s unique architecture as a canvas in the Estate’s front gardens — running multiple times on the nights Unhinged takes place. The light show was produced by Paintscaping.
There will also be a giant edible gothic-inspired replica of the Winchester Mystery House created by Christine McConnell of Netflix’s “Curious Creations of Christine McConnell” on display in the Mercantile.
Unhinged begins at 6:40 p.m. and lasts approximately 60 minutes. Depending on the day, the last experience will take place between 10 p.m. – 12 a.m. and tickets range from $44 – $54.
