Northside Oscar Movie Party- Friday Feb. 26, 3-8pm: The 88th Academy Awards are Sunday, February 28 and the library would like to celebrate by showing two movies nominated for this prestigious award. A kids movie will be shown from 3-5pm and the adult movie will be shown from 6-8pm. Eventbrite registration is required. Northside Branch Library 695 Moreland Way, Santa Clara 95054.

Northside Science Day- Saturday Feb. 27, 10am-5pm: The library is celebrating National Science Day and will be hosting the following programs:
10am- Cooking Up Science: Learn science through a series of experiments using every day items in your kitchen.
12noon- Sphero Race: Test your hand at driving a robot on our custom track built from library books.
2pm- Mad Science: Up, Up and Away: Figure out how planes fly and test your own with a toilet paper roll.
4pm- Build Your Own Rocket: Unleash the Astronaut in you. Use paper and masking tape to engineer a rocket that will soar to the sky.

Marrisa Meyer- The Library Talks- Tuesday March 1, 6:30-8pm: The Library Talks is a series of virtual author talks live streamed to libraries throughout California. Meyer, author of Cinder and the Lunar Chronicles, joins us for a discussion about fairy tales, cyberpunk and what she has planned next.
