Patricia Quintero

Patricia Quintero

Sadly, Pat Quintero passed away after an all too short battle with cancer. Her sudden passing has been a shock to all who knew her as a friend, colleague, and neighbor.

Pat was President of CSEA Chapter 350 for Classified Employees of Santa Clara Unified School District. She served on many committees in the District including the Health committee. She was the Lead Negotiator and Chief Job Steward for her union. You would see her at most School Board Meetings always ready to stand up for her fellow employees. Everyone in the District from administrators to teachers to the employees she represented knew that they could count on her to be fair. Pat had a knack for dealing with problems while maintaining a good working relationship. She understood that these didn’t need to be conflicting goals. Her fellow e-board members are at a loss as to how to go on without her guidance and wisdom.

Like many classified employees she wanted a job in the District where her children were attending. Starting as a part time school bus driver then adding a second job as a Health Clerk she then became an Account Assistant III at in the Transportation Department where she worked for many years.

Many in the District considered her their friend. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Pat is survived by her children Gina, Adam, Mark and Kyle.

SCUSD will hold a Memorial Service for Pat on Saturday January 14, 10:00 am in the Wilcox High School Theater, Wilcox High School, 3250 Monroe Street, Santa Clara, CA 95051.
