Construction has started on the 0.68-acre, four-story, Madison Place project at 1460 Monroe (at El Camino Real). The development will include 638,958 square feet of office and commons space and 28 Housing Units and 5,530 square feet of retail space.
The Madison Place project proposes the development of a 4-story mixed use building including 2 one-bedroom units, 18 two-bedroom units, 8 three-bedroom units, with first level retail (5,530 square feet) and office space (1,460 square feet).
The SiliconSage Builders project is expected to see occupancy in spring 2016.
Heading further North on El Camino, Santa Clarans will see a number of projects underway as well. SiliconSage’s 1.38-acre Alexis project at 2585 El Camino Real, is slated to open in Winter 2015. It will be four stories and feature 60 condo units, ranging from one to three bedrooms.
Another El Camino development currently underway is Villas on the Boulevard (Summerhill Homes), a 3.57-acre site at 2611-2655 El Camino Real that will feature four stories of for-rent apartments above garage parking. It will consist of 112 one-bedroom units and 74 two-bedroom units.
The largest development on El Camino is the 12.6-acre Gateway Village (Essex Property Trust) at 3610 and 3700 El Camino Real. The project will feature 476 Residential Units at four to five stories, plus 108,600 square feet of retail space. The residential units are expected to be occupied in 2017, with retail space slated to open in 2018.
