Letter From Rozane Bey-McCurdy

Santa Clarans always had choices. They could have chosen the environment over development; instead they chose a stadium over water. They could have chosen a variety of educational sources for their children, instead they chose groups of individuals who have taken organized bullying to a professional level who systemically cut resources of the futures of our children. They could have elected individuals who humbly accepted their roles in the spirit of servitude to their community rather than as figureheads shaking hands in deals made for the benefits of their own families and friends. Their legacies won’t be as pillars of the community, but as sighs from those residents viewing the remains of the city that once was but will never be again. Santa Clarans had the choice to vote; some did with good intent, some with bad, but the worst of the bunch didn’t bother to vote at all. 2016?
