Letter from Melinda Rosenaur

At 3333 Octavius Drive in Santa Clara, the City Council of Santa Clara approved the removal of many beautiful and majestic Heritage Redwood trees. These Redwood trees had added beauty to an otherwise boring and dull office complex. Beautiful Redwood Heritage trees such as these not only provide beauty to the beholder but can purify the air of toxins and provide much needed oxygen to the environment. There are still many spectacular Redwood trees present there that would be a true loss if they are cut down. I believe that the City council was wrong in allowing so many of these Heritage trees to be removed without care or concern. I am truly ashamed of the City council and the people of Santa Clara for allowing these magnificent trees to be destroyed.
