Family Giving Tree Needs Help

Family Giving Tree, a local non-profit specializing in fulfilling the needs of underprivileged children, has an immediate need for warehouse space. The contract on Family Giving Tree’s current location has ended and the organization is in desperate need to secure space for the upcoming Back-To-School and Holiday Drives.

The Back-To-School Drive kicks off today and warehouse operations are scheduled to begin August 1.

According to a press release, the space needs to be at least 25,000 square feet and include two restrooms per gender, lighting, electrical outlets, one loading dock and street-level, drive-by access for loading and unloading. The ideal space would be in the “sweet spot” for drop offs which is in an area bounded by Interstate Highway 880 on the east, Route 237 on the north, El Camino Real on the west and Interstates 280 and 680 on the south. It would also have a covered drive-through office that can be secured, a separate room for staff breaks and meals and be able to accommodate both drives, but this is not necessary as the Holiday Drive requires 100,000 square feet of space.
