Donna Mori Mills

Donna Mori Mills

Donna will always be remembered for her gorgeous and ever-present smile, her easy laugh and her way of making all those who crossed her path feel welcome and at ease. Donna continually amazed those around her with her endless energy, hospitality, creativity and thoughtfulness. She will continue to be honored for her legacy of unconditional love and joyful enthusiasm.

Donna’s husband Michael and her daughters Melanie and Natalie were the center of her life and the source of her greatest pride and achievements. Donna often spoke about her sense of fulfillment and gratitude that her girls had grown up to be such amazing, independent and caring young women.

Donna and her dear friend Rachel Jobe are co-founders of Nor-Cal Elite Cheer Gym in San Jose. The gym is nationally recognized and has received top awards throughout the country. More importantly, Donna unfailingly provided a caring and supportive environment for all who came to the gym. With boundless drive and enthusiasm, she filled the role of “Donna Momma” for hundreds of children, including those who were troubled, faced difficult circumstances or were in a need of a place to call “home.” Donna had a magical way of making everyone feel included, loved and connected.

Donna was deeply loved and shared a wonderful life with her parents John and Grace Mori; brothers Burt Mori and Kirk Mori and wife Laura; brothers-in-law John Mills, Lance Mills (Connie) and sister-in-law Paula Wootten (Wayne). Donna enjoyed many happy times with her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, too numerous to list. Donna’s large network of friends included neighbors and acquaintances from the Morgan Hill area, former co-workers from the City of San Jose, Milpitas High School alumni, Japanese community members and many more. Throughout the years Donna maintained special bonds with her close girlfriends and they were together through countless celebrations, vacations and many memorable nights out. Donna lived a full, vibrant and generous life and she will be adored forever.

A memorial service will be held on September 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Church, 16330 Los Gatos Boulevard, Los Gatos, CA 95032.
