AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah (NCNU) honored Robin Chirico from Briarwood Elementary School as a AAA NCNU Patrol Advisor of the Year on May 21.
The AAA School Safety program recognizes students and advisors in local areas with exemplary leadership qualities. The patrol program helps to reduce pedestrian accidents as children cross streets to and from school.
As a Patrol Advisor at Briarwood for the past 10 years, Chirico’s passion for the program stems from the motivation it gives the students to become leaders and shine outside of the classroom.
A tradition since 1920, the AAA School Safety Patrol program equips patrollers with the skills and resources needed to ensure children commute to and from school safely. The program includes more than 620,000 patrollers in schools nationwide.
