On Aug. 11 Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS) received information from a reporting party that Pablo Taskey, a 27-year-old Watsonville resident, used an online social media application, and arranged to meet a person he believed to be a 12-year-old girl in Sunnyvale for the purposes of sex.
Upon being confronted, Taskey fled Sunnyvale prior to police arrival and the case was turned over to the Sunnyvale DPS Investigations Unit. Detectives investigated the case and requested an arrest warrant from the Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office.
On Oct. 23, Sunnyvale detectives arrested Taskey in Watsonville and served a residential search warrant at his home. Taskey was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for 288.3(A) PC, Communication with a minor with knowledge/Intent to commit a specific crime and 288.4(b) PC, Arrange or go to meeting with minor for lewd lascivious behavior.
