Nishant Chandrashekar and junior Mark Nguyen, Wilcox’s top doubles team bested their opponents from Santa Clara High School in three sets, helping the Chargers to a triumph over their cross-town rival Santa Clara Bruins on April 23. The Chargers will be competing in SCVAL El Camino division finals May 16-18, followed by CCS playoffs starting on May 21. Nguyen was also a star athlete for the Chargers’ wrestling team as Nguyen placed sixth in the 106-pound weight class at the 2013 CCS championships.
