The 53rd Santa Clara Parade of Champions will hit the streets of Santa Clara on Oct. 1 at 11 a.m.
But, don’t show up just for the parade. Enjoy the festivities before and after the main event.
Festivities start at 8 a.m. and keep going through 5 p.m.
Located in Santa Clara Downtown at 1100-1300 Franklin Square — The Nonprofit Santa Clara Parade of Champions will celebrate our community champions, leaders and front-line heroes. We have been the longest running, inclusive, most diverse and eclectic event in the History of Santa Clara since 1945–and we are back. At its peak the parade was the 2nd largest in the State. There is lots to be thankful for—especially after the last 2 years.
All are invited!
There will be something for everyone from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to enjoy. A Farmer’s Market, Community Village for Vendors and Kids Corner, Food Trucks, Live Music and a Street Dance. The “Salsa in the Streets” is brought to you by Volare Studios and SCPOC.
Our 2022 Grand Marshals both started their careers as school teachers in SCUSD and have seen it all—the 2022 Grand Marshals will be Wilcox High School Vice Principal Kathleen MacDonald and George Henderson, aka Krazy George.
This year’s Grand Finale Sponsor is DEVCON. There will be eclectic Floats, Robotics, the Spirit of 45 Vets, 14-foot Cold Air Balloons from Pennsylvania, Drill teams, Multi-cultural dance Groups, Classic Cars, Youth Sports, and 9 Marching Bands including Sacramento State celebrating their 75th anniversary with us this year.
This year’s parade will be filmed by Kevin Wing Productions and broadcasted post parade on Comcast SC City Channel 15 weekly until 12/31/22. Follow us on FB and Instagram.
The Parade of Champions went virtual during COVID-19 and returned in-person in 2021.
