In reading over the glossy mailings from candidates for office, you would think we have the gems of political jewels.
That, obviously, is fiction.
Over the past four years, the comments and complaints about elected officials and their questionable decisions have been less than complimentary.
However, the glossy brochures that have been arriving in our mailbox indicate the good ol’ boys’ network is thriving.
In spite of the past four years of controversy, contention and criticism about District Attorney Jeff Rosen the past four years … voila! In my mailbox is a glossy brochure listing every elected Democrat in the county endorsing his re-election.
That looks more like an endorsement for a fraternity brother rather than an endorsement of a political candidate.
Behind closed doors, the discussion about District Attorney Jeff Rosen among local attorneys is somewhat different. The scuttlebutt is that few local lawyers consider Rosen a capable and competent district attorney. Most recently, a judge removed Rosen from a case because Rosen was using it to campaign and raise money.
Santa Clara residents have witnessed his prejudice in handling former city council member Anthoney Becker.
Becker decided to run for mayor of Santa Clara. Current mayor Lisa Gillmor did not like that idea. The solution? Eliminate Becker’s chance of running for office ever again.
Enter political associate of Mayor Gillmor, District Attorney Jeff Rosen.
Becker was accused of leaking a copy of a Grand Jury report. This was not a major infraction and could be passed off as a minor hand slap. However, District Attorney Rosen set Becker up with an interview by the Grand Jury. You might wonder why.
When asked if he “leaked” the Grand Jury report, Becker answered “no.”
Aha! Gottcha! Rosen’s trap was successful. Rosen and his office ransacked Becker’s home and confiscated Becker’s phone, computer and personal papers. While nothing of interest was ever discovered on Becker’s devices, District Attorney Rosen has still not returned Beckers’ personal items after TWO years. Rosen also used Becker’s case to raise campaign money, while the case was in court.
Rosen’s response was to demand a jail sentence. Unfortunately for Rosen, California doesn’t have “hard labor” sentences, or Rosen would have asked for that, too.
There is also Rosen’s campaign to change the death penalty sentences he had asked for. As California has a moratorium on executions, this was also a pointless expenditure of public time and money.
Now, you and I are to believe that District Attorney Jeff Rosen is a capable, competent and caring candidate?
Rosen may be a “good ol’ boy” in the eyes of his political allies. However, his lack of respect for our justice system reveals who and what he really is.

Jeff Rosen is good at acting. He knows how to say things that he doesn’t believe in with a straight face. Mr. Rosen also knows how to feign emotion.
…
Right now he is helping to sex traffic my children and incentivizing physical assaults by abusing his power.
…
I post more information about this here: https://www.thepetitionsite.com/272/404/301/district-attorney-jeffrey-rosen-please-stop-sex-trafficking-my-kids/

…
You can see one of the many times that begged him for help to protect my children. He is seated second from left. https://youtu.be/7sy-bBU4KQs?t=893
…
Rosen only cares about his political supporter. His response was to file charges against me in an attempt to conceal the abuse and absolve my former attorney of her crimes.
Jeff Rosen will continue to destroy Santa Clara County with his immorality if he gets another term. He does not have the ability to empathize. He only cares about what is good for him and his political supporters. This is emblematic with what he did to Anthony Becker.
…
This is also true with what he did to Daniel Chung. Mr. Chung knew what was happening to me and my kids. He wanted to help. Two weeks later it was announced that he was fired. This is because it was more important for Rosen to protect Valerie Houghton. She is the one sex trafficking my kids and sending people to cause great bodily harm to me.
….
This is also true with Dr. Patrick Clyne. After being accused by dozens of children of child molestation, all Jeff Rosen did was put him on the Brady list. He didn’t even report it to the Medical Board. Dr. Clyne went on to molest dozens of more children in “Freedom,” Cal.
….
Most recently there is the case of Saul Duran. Mr. Duran worked in the D.A.’s Office in the Parent Project. He was accused of “concerning” behavior with many teen girls. Mr. Rosen never reported this to CPS, nor did ne provide a referral for these girls to get a screening at the Child Advocacy Center.
…
As a result, Mr. Duran was allowed to continue to be Foster Parent and continue having the opportunities to abuse children. Eventually, SJPD arrested him for sexually abusing two girls.
…
This is only the tip of the iceberg. There are many more children being abused because of Jeff Rosen’s degeneracy.
Here is another case. Violet Brooks was begging Rosen to protect her three girls. He just ignored her. This is because the same lawyer who is sex trafficking my kids was involved. The poor girls had to wait until they all turned 18 to get justice. You can read their complaints here:

…
And now Jeff Rosen wants to continue being in charge of Child Advocacy Center. The Board of Supervisors wanted to move it out of his control. I believe that he wants to remain in charge of it because he can continue blocking access to abused children when it serves his needs.
You can see on his campaign website that he is specifically targeting lawyers for donations. “The maximum contribution is $2,000 per person, law firm, partnership, or corporation.”

Rosen has sold out the community in favor of these lawyers endangering the community. The lawyers are free to commit any crimes that they want and facilitate crimes by others. Jeff Rosen helps them create an alternative reality. I believe that this is how he has raised so much money.
BTW… It’s not illegal to buy endorsements.
Just see how Rosen treated the families when he got killers off of death row. He said, “I don’t f***ing care about your feelings.” Then Rosen lied to them and said that they would spend the rest of the lives in prison. Now Rosen has made an agreement with Erik Chatman to make him parole eligible. I believe that he did this to get back at Tony LoBue for complaining. Rosen is a vindictive person.
…
Just see what Rosen did to Paul Gackle. Mr. Gackle was stabbed multiple times by a crazed person that he didn’t know. He almost died. When Gackle complained that the the person was released from custody just before the stabbing, Rosen prevented him from receiving Victim Services. It took two articles in San Jose Spotlight for Rosen to relent.
Miles always raises broader questions about political loyalty, insider culture, and accountability in local government — themes that closely parallel the controversy surrounding Anthony Becker. Miles is spot on in calling out Jeff Rosen’s blatant corruption and legal weaponization. Keep calling it out Miles every time you can. My letters to the editor in combination with Miles’ opinion explore how those same dynamics may have played out in Becker’s case, including the competing narratives of criminal conduct, whistleblowing, and political scapegoating. Miles’ readers and others need to look beyond headlines and consider the larger system influencing both public perception and accountability. I and others ultimately wonder if Becker was just a witness, a whistleblower or a patsy. https://www.svvoice.com/letters/letter-to-the-editor-criminal-whistleblower-witness-or-patsy-part-1-of-2/, https://www.svvoice.com/letters/letter-to-the-editor-criminal-whistleblower-witness-or-patsy-part-2-of-2/.
