Perspectives from Playing Tennis – Letter to the Editor

When we thought that COVID-19 is improving as we step into the new year, we’re now taking a step backward by going back to the time we had to wear masks in the public. The emergence of this new variant is diminishing our hope and making lives inconvenient.

However, although wearing a mask is hard, I find running in the sun with a mask as a tennis player is harder. I remember taking tennis lessons every weekend during the summer. Under the blazing sun, I ran across the court to return a ball again and again. I got exhausted as I continued to run during the practices.

In comparison, wearing a mask in the public is more manageable than wearing a mask during athletic trainings. So as bad as it is, I think we can overcome the pandemic, as long as we follow and cooperate with the CDC regulations.
