Unlike her carpetbagger opponent (who lives in Fremont!), Karen has lived in Santa Clara for over 30 years. She’s been involved in dozens of civic causes from helping to save Ulistac Natural Area to starting up a robotics team at Wilcox HS to volunteering for Boy Scouts to preserving the historic 1863 Santa Clara (train) Depot.
