Wilcox football
I go way back. Wilcox has often been very good in football. But I do not remember an undefeated team – not even when the Wilcox Chargers were the Wilcox Warriers in the 1970s and before. In 2018, Wilcox football is now 11-0. Last year, Milpitas High was 12-0 heading into it CCS Division 1 championship game against a Salinas team it had mauled 27-0 earlier in the season. Milpitas fumbled away that re-match (18-25) before salvaging its best season with a state lower-division title at 14-1. Here’s hoping Wilcox finally runs the table with the best record in this area’s history at 15-0. Next opponent: Salinas. I say: Go Warriors – I mean Chargers.
