Our children need a SCUSD Board that focuses on student achievement. Therefore, we voters should DEMAND that Board members understand what it takes to succeed academically.
Candidates, such as Dr. Ina Bendis, Dr. Christine Koltermann and Dr. Michael Helms, have incredible academic backgrounds. Dr. Michael Helms, for example, is an adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering at San Jose State University. Wow!
The California Teachers Association, by backing other candidates, those with significantly lower personal academic achievement, seeks to dumb down our Board. Like all employee unions their goal is to cater to union members. Our children deserve better.
