Dear Editor,
I am disturbed those claiming judicial independence in their defense of Judge Persky. Persky showed poor judgement in the Brock Turner Stanford sexual assault case and several cases of violence against women and children- including giving a Sunnyvale man just 4 days after being caught with child porn. He has a history of leniency for men, particularly male athletes. As voters we have every right to recall him from his elected position. As members of a community, we have an obligation to send the message that we will not tolerate judges who do not take sexual assault seriously. I will be voting to recall Judge Persky on June 5. I hope you will join me.
