The two candidates for Santa Clara mayor just visited my residential complex. Both were knowledgeable; however, incumbent Jamie Matthews came across as a slick politician, and his plan for bus-only lanes on El Camino Real would stall traffic on and near El Camino. It will be like trying to exit a 49er game. I prefer challenger Deborah Bress. She will not just go along with the program.
