Defending Against the Omicron Variant

It seems that a bit before two years after COVID struck, the omicron variant of COVID is back to haunt us.

Years ago, we complained about social distancing and staying indoors, but complied because of fear. Over time, that fear has faded, but the omicron variation indicates that the fear should return. But although we should be afraid in a sense, we are all already familiar with this situation. By utilizing similar methods to quarantine we can find ways to deal with it. As COVID has progressed, our concern about social distancing has faltered, thinking we were out of the storm. We were not. The last few months could just be the eye of the storm; we must persevere for longer if we want it to matter. That’s why we should continue the same practices that kept us safe a year ago, to avoid the Omicron variant striking again.
