The City of Santa Clara hosted a City-wide 4th of July picnic. While the City was unable to provide fireworks as it has in years past, it was still able to offer residents a good time. The International Swim Center was open for recreational swimming and Silicon Valley Power hosted a kids area featuring games. There was also a booth from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley featuring adorable kittens for the kids to meet.
Central Park was lined with food vendors for the 4th of July picnic to make sure people were well fed and the pavilion featured several different entertainment groups. The Cocktail Monkeys and Pop Rocks bands performed on the pavilion stage. While members of the Santa Clara Parks and Recreation Dance Teams showed off their moves.
The Parks and Recreation Dance program’s Elite Jazz Team performed “Dynamite” in the Central Park Pavilion, while the Mini Dance Team performed “Dance With Me.”
