How sharper than a serpant’s tooth it is to have an ungrateful developer suing your city leadership. Related Corporation has chosen, after a half a decade, of being Santa Clara City Hall’s master in residence to sue the city and cause the city to stop buying library books to pay more lawyers, Their impatience is ironic. After all, Related’s boodle boy, Jude Barry, spent years coveting his key to the City Excecutive washroom. But the city is not moving fast enough to please Stephen Ross, so Ross wants the courts to hurry the city along. It is the old, old story played by the big golem to demand tribute from the little villagers. Sad, but some said the city would pay the piper to a big NFL owner, the big bad owner from Miami, not colored red and gold.

I hope Mr Rowen and the readers of this paper will indulge me in one more LTTE (on this topic anyway): Mr Rowen: Apology accepted. I believe not only are you well-read but that you are a very fast thinker and can bounce from one literary analogy to another - sometimes from more than one source (I think) within any given LTTE. Sometimes I am not even sure what to Google because I don't always know where one analogy from one source ends and another from another source begins within any given letter and I think this is the case for many of us. You'll have to help us with not only author but at least also with title of book (if not also page number as well.) To think all this started with one of your letters talking about a brown bagged lunch! (Seriously.) Wishing you well.

I am not connected to the group that is proposing to bring back the Parade of Champions, but I was connected, after a fashion, to the original group that presented it.  This event was begun by members of the YMI and the Green Dragon's Drum Corps way back in the mid 1950's.  All the participants were volunteers including the chairman who was Larry Marsalli.  My father was also a member of the original group. Many of the volunteers were active members of the drum corps and had participated in many parades themselves.  To present an event such as this takes a lot of work and time.  If you want a Parade of Champions, there must be some champions to honor.  In the original parade those were the participants in the event, as only winners of events were invited to participate so one saw the best of the best.  While I

Kudos to SCWeekly for stating that Milestones is an opinion column.  I am all for independent audits of city finances, but not chaired by Steve Lodge.  He was originally against Measure J stadium and for good reasons.  Then Lodge became so corrupted by 49r’s secret offer for him to handle stadium security that he began in SCPD uniform to promote the stadium, an illegal act.  Lodge also supported SCUSD’s Measure J benefit which inadequately enabled poor seniors’ right to opt-out. Another issue with Milestones was its response to me.  I wrote that Ro Khanna didn’t last long in US Commerce Department.  Barber replied that it was for a two-year term.  False!  Obama fired Khanna early (19th month) for gross incompetency (Solyndra fiasco and mishandling foreign trade).  Now about minimal punishments for Trump underlings Khanna wails though prison-free himself after misappropriating university funds (San Mateo Times 2-28-2004).  Commie Bernie’s new frontman?
