The eight full service hotels near California’s Great America theme park, Santa Clara Convention Center, and new 49ers Levi’s Stadium continue to have a strong year, recording average occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR) increases in July, 2013. Santa Clara hotels averaged 85% occupancy in July, 2013, a 5% increase over the same period last year. The July, 2013 ADR also saw an increase, rising $14.00 to an average of $157.00, up from $143.00 the previous year.
Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce and Convention-Visitors Bureau President and CEO Steve Van Dorn says “We had a strong spring and are pleased to see a stronger summer. Meetings and business travel rebounded some time ago, and we are cautiously optimistic this will continue throughout 2013,” said Van Dorn.
The averages compiled by the Santa Clara Convention and Visitors Bureau include the Avatar Hotel, Biltmore Hotel & Suites, Embassy Suites, Hilton Santa Clara, Hyatt house, Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, Marriott Santa Clara, and the Plaza Suites. www.santaclara.org
