RJJT presents “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka: Roberta Jones Junior Theatre begins its 48th Season with the magical children’s classic “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka.” Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder and new songs by Leslie Bricusse (Jekyll & Hyde, Doctor Dolittle) and Anthony Newley, “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka”is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone’s sweet tooth. Performances are October 28-November 6, Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm, Sundays at 2pm, at the Mary Louise Mello Auditorium in the Community Recreation Center, 969 Kiely Blvd. in Santa Clara. Comedy and Magic Night Fundraiser for Blue Star Moms at Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Club, Saturday, November 15, 8 pm– 10 pm: Bay Area magician Phil Ackerly has put together and will emcee a program of magic and comedy to raise funds for the South Bay Blue Star Moms to ship holiday care packages to the troops. The lineup includes comedian Jeff Applebaum, mind-tricks entertainer Jay Alexander and Pier 39’s sword- and knife-swallower Lynx Kim.
