Levi’s Stadium to House Restaurant by Acclaimed Chef Michael Mina

With whimsical plays on pub-style dishes, such as peanut butter crunch burgers, lobster corn dogs and the use of the highest-quality locally sourced ingredients, Bourbon Steak & Pub, managed by acclaimed Chef Michael Mina will bring a luxurious dining experience to Levi‘s Stadium. A plethora of imaginative temptations for the palate will come alive at the multi-level, high-end steakhouse and pub, debuting when the stadium opens in August 2014.

Conceptualized specifically for Levi‘s Stadium, Bourbon Steak & Pub will also transform into Michael Mina‘s Tailgate, a membership-only experience tailor-made for 49ers season ticket holders, offering a one-of-a-kind exclusive tailgate experience. Designed for football and food aficionados, membership will provide access to an all-inclusive game-themed menu featuring Bay Area favorites and ingredients from the visiting teams‘ region, prepared by Mina. In addition, members will also have the opportunity to compete against friends and experts in custom-designed fantasy sports and entertainment contests with exclusive prizes including dinner with Mina or prominent 49ers alumni.

The restaurants combine Mina‘s two biggest passions – sports and food. With the rich culinary landscape in the Bay Area and the dynamic layout of the restaurant, Mina says it is a “concept I felt doing to be worthy of being here … this is something really new and fresh. I‘m very passionate about projects outside the box. We strive for these restaurants to be top five establishments.” He adds that by sourcing great product from the area and keeping with a traditional pub experience, there will be a plethora of creativity, with “outside the box thinking making game days an amazing experience.”

Mina says the experience will be something that’s never been seen before – “an amazing party experience with several never-done before features,” including culinary theatre through an open kitchen design featuring a wood-burning grill, a seafood action station, and a one-of-a-kind 13-foot tall, fully rotating rotisserie. The showstopper will be the procession of several seafood mega-pots delivered to their front-row boil stations via a ceiling mounted gantry track, an industry first.

“This is the project I’ve been most excited about since I started cooking,” says Mina.

Mina, one of the country‘s most renowned culinary leaders is known for his innovative approach to modern American cuisine and offering the highest standards of design and service.

Located on the ground floor of Levi‘s Stadium, adjacent to the museum, tours center and retail store, Bourbon Steak & Pub will welcome Bay Area diners seven days a week, year-round, with Bourbon Pub open for lunch and dinner, and Bourbon Steak open for dinner only.
