Angela Zheng recently wrote “Coffee With The Mayor” in the The Weekly Newspaper and I agree that teens could play a larger role in city governance. She expressed the advantages of youth participation in city governance.
I am a junior at Bellarmine and would like to participate in providing advice and recommendations to the Mayor with an organization named “Political Access For Minors”. The center-piece will be a website to solicit ideas. It can be a portal for all teens, independent of school or location. We are hoping that a consensus can be built through the website and then the ideas presented to the council. By advertising an access into a list of ideas, we can have teens participate, who are usually not connected to the workings of the government. Allowing anonymous inputs to the website will further that goal.
These ideas can be exchanged on politicalaccess4minors . weebly .com
