It’s hard to miss the fact that rule of law is biting the dust in 2025. For example, Trump singlehandedly attempts to overthrow the 14th Amendment (birthright citizenship), and Biden singlehandedly attempts to enact the 28th Amendment (Equal Rights Amendment). Strangely, Republicans want to challenge autocratic overreach only when Democrats are doing it, and Democrats want to challenge autocratic overreach only when Republicans are doing it. Leadership used to be all about teaching people the importance of honesty, good faith agreements and relationships, hard work, education and science, and accountability for all. Today, our leaders’ economic fortunes have become more important to them than the freedoms of the people. This is becoming more and more true of politicians, corporate execs, media, government, and even church leaders. We are mistaking the existence of celebrities for the intelligence of celebrities. We need to make a change, people.
