While the coronavirus “shelter in place” situation has everyone running to stock up on supplies and food for the next month or two, it’s refreshing to take a step back and look at the bright side.
Even though being stuck at home gets monotonous after a while, I am enjoying Family Night that I’ve missed because everyone was too busy with their work, studies, etc. I’m learning a new skill that I previously didn’t have time to master: the art of cooking. As a junior in high school, being able to learn the intricacies of measuring ingredients, hearing the sizzle of the pan, and experiencing the joy of cooking a complete meal has greatly improved my state of mind.
As the current situation continues to unfold, my advice to my community is to use this extra time to make use of your lemons, and try to make some lemonade.
