Zola wrote that “when truth is buried underground [it comes out with an explosion].” France had long submerged its hatred of Jews until the Dreyfus affair exploded. The same can be said for Santa Clara which is suffering from a political bigotry nurtured by bum of a blogger who lives on handouts from three unethical, untrustworthy and amoral council members guided by a vicious lobbyist. The hatred they have has submerged ethics, indeed all one council member thinks about is getting the same s.u.v. as the Mayor has. There will be a Dreyfus Affair sooner or later in Santa Clara, and I hope the three intellectual dwarves we talk about have an escape plan.
