I think it is time to do away with the annual cleanup. I can’t believe the pile of junk in front of some homes. There was a mattress dumped on my sidewalk the other night so it is evident that junk is being dumped in Santa Clara from other cities.
According to the flier put out by the City, you can call 615-3080 to report materials being dumped on your street. There is no way the City will respond in time as the culprit will be gone in 5 minutes.
Everyone in Santa Clara pays $62 per year for this useless cleanup, so it is time to get rid of the annual cleanup.
