There was everything to be gained by allowing Kevin Park to speak on Asian hate, since he is Asian. Watanabe once again demonstrated she is a petty person. As one of the world’s greatest practitioners of insensitive speaking, I can testify that we could all learn from people what is like to be hated for being different. From the San Francisco School Board who claimed Asian Americans are white people’s favorite minority group to a person blocking Park. My mother supervised Asian American farm workers as well as Latinos and took pride how much she learned from them.
Watanabe gave evidence on how Asian hate is alive by her own actions to hate Park for being Asian American.
