Letters To The Editor

As incredible as it may be, there is a campaign underway to recall Governor Newsom in the midst of the pandemic in which California has vied  with Texas for the most reported Covid-19 cases in the country.   While the governor may have made some missteps along the way in dealing with the crisis, he faces enormous challenges in the most populous ethnically and culturally diverse state in the US..  Campaign backers  claim they will have enough verified signatures by the March 17 deadline to force a special election with a multi-million dollar taxpayer funded price tag that could be held in early 2022. Nationally recognized  Politico senior writer for California Playbook Carla Marinucci, a former Santa Claran, who has reported extensively on the recall, will address the issue at a Zoom meeting sponsored by the South Bay Democratic Coalition on February 25th at 7 PM.   To participate, visit https://southbaydemocraticcoalition.org
