After many years of attending RJJT shows with my daughters, I was able to experience the RJJT as a mother of a participant in the recent production of Seussical, and I am so grateful that the RJJT was saved! It really is one of the gems in the recreation department of Santa Clara. I could rave about the organization or how quickly they adapted to the omicron surge or the cool clear masks or the professionalism of the production. Those things are all laudable. However, as a mother, what touched my heart was that I picked up a happy, sparkly, confident, and energized child at the end of every practice. We must continue to invest in these programs that build our children and our community. Thank you, Santa Clara City Council and Mayor, for continuing to support these wonderful opportunities for our children.
