There are several races that people need to pay attention to in Santa Clara and much has been written in support of Muirhead, Sallings and Ratermann for Santa Clara Unified but there is one more race that needs support and that is the 17th District Congressional race. Ro Khanna has gone from being a virtual unknown almost two years ago to tying the Congressional race against Honda. That only happens through making yourself visible to voters and talking about what is important to them. Some say Ro isn’t qualified. However, he has taken the time to learn what is important to communities through his teaching, serving with the Commerce Department and using his time to learn about manufacturing in the USA as well as working in Silicon Valley. Ro comes from a lineage where service to the people comes first. It is time for Ro to take his place in public service.

The developer, Lamb Partners (Randy Lamb – Atherton Planning Commissioner) started to purchase the two single family homes along Monroe, 906 Monroe St. and 930 Monroe St. in Feb 2019 and Sep 2019 respectively. Santa Clara is the ONLY city in the entire State of California to have an elected Chief of Police. I contend that Santa Clarans don’t actually have a choice in selecting their Chief of Police.
