Residential Burglary

Location: 3600 Block of Benton Street

Between 10/26/2019 around 1700 hours and 10/27/2019 at approximately 0930 hours, the victim’s garage carport was burglarized on the 3600 block of Benton Street.

An unknown suspect(s) pried open the garage door and stole miscellaneous tools valued at approximately $280. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Embezzlement

Location: 3200 Block of Mission College Boulevard

A business on the 3200 block of Mission College Boulevard reported a possible case of embezzlement.

The responding officer learned a female employee stole cash from a store on five occasions, totaling $550. The store manager contacted the subject, she admitted to stealing the money and store management desired prosecution. She was arrested.

Assault and Battery

Location:  El Camino Real and Los Padres Boulevard

Public Safety Dispatchers received a call regarding a male subject standing in the middle of the #3 lane on El Camino Real, near Los Padres Boulevard, blocking a Valley Transportation Authority bus and yelling at the bus driver.

An officer arrived on scene to witness the same behavior communicated by the reporting party. The subject refused to identify himself and began yelling at the responding officers. The subject eventually assaulted one of the officers. The officers placed the subject under arrest, and he was transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

The bus driver was able to continue the designated route.

Residential Burglary

Location: 2900 Block of McKinley Drive

Public Safety Dispatchers received a call regarding an interrupted residential burglary on the 2900 block of McKinley Drive.

Responding officers learned the victim was in the home at the time of the incident and heard noise inside the attached garage. The victim went into the garage and confronted the subject, who fled the scene. The suspect left a backpack at the scene with miscellaneous items belonging to the victim.

A perimeter was established. However, the subject was not located.

Armed Robbery

Location: 2800 Block of Benton Street

A male subject approached a juvenile victim asking for money. When the victim refused, the suspect pulled a small folding knife from his pocket and displayed it toward the victim. The victim gave the subject $20, and the subject fled on a bicycle.

The victim proceeded to the Central Park Library to report the incident. While the responding officer was speaking with the victim, the victim observed the subject riding his bicycle in Central Park. The subject was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Commercial Burglary

Location:  3000 Block of Patrick Henry Drive

Public Safety Dispatchers deployed officers on the report of a commercial burglary in progress.

Officers, including a K-9 from the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety and California Highway Patrol’s air support, arrived on scene and established a perimeter around the building. The female subject exited the building and was taken into custody. A search of the subject’s backpack yielded burglary tools. Inside the building, newly cut copper wiring was found near an electrical panel. The subject was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Warrant Arrest

Location: 2300 Block of El Camino Real

A reporting party contacted Public Safety Dispatchers after overhearing a male subject state he was going to kill someone and observing him pull out a knife.

Multiple officers responded to the 2300 block of El Camino Real. Officers contacted the subject. A Records check revealed he had a $20,000 warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.
