Four Subjects Arrested for Attempted Murder

On Oct. 20, at approximately 0104 hours, Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to 575 E. Remington Ave. on a report of a shooting that had just occurred. Upon arrival, Officers discovered that several unknown subjects attempted to shoot a single unarmed victim following a verbal argument. The victim was not injured during the shooting and the suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Sunnyvale DPS detectives initiated an investigation and began working on several leads in the case. DPS Crime Scene Investigators and detectives identified potential suspects and on Nov. 13, four individuals were arrested in Redwood City and Hayward for their involvement in the shooting incident. The four suspects have been identified as Jose Buenrostro, Freddy Magana, Isidro Mendez and Ezequiel Sanchez.
