San Jose Teen in Grave Condition After Santa Clara Shooting

On July 5 at approximately 10:44 p.m., a Santa Clara Police Officer was parked and monitoring traffic when he heard what he thought were illegal fireworks going off in the vicinity.

The officer drove towards the noise and discovered a vehicle that had crashed into a parked vehicle at Brookdale Dr. and Bing Dr., Santa Clara. The officer found that the driver of the crashed vehicle was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is currently in grave condition. The victim is described as a 17-year-old male from San Jose.
