Stanford University’s a cappella group The Harmonics performed at the 2013 JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes on October 20 at California’s Great America. Many local youth groups turned out to support the walk. Other youth groups who participated: Menlo Atherton High School Cheerleaders, and Monta Vista High School Cheerleaders and Dance Team. Monta Vista Octagon Service Group volunteered to help. More than 1,000 walkers participated, including numerous residents from Santa Clara. The walk raised $388,000 for diabetes research.
