Letter from Hannah Pan

Hello, I am a senior at Palo Alto High School, and I volunteer with Rebuilding Alliance, a local non-profit based in Burlingame that determines to rebuild war-torn villages in Palestine. I thought that The Santa Clara Weekly might be interested in this event. I am currently partnering with the City of Palo Alto to host a mapathon for Palestinian villages in Palo Alto under the ThinkFund program. The event will be on October 28th in Palo Alto, and I am wondering if The Santa Clara Weekly would be interested in promoting it. The event is geared towards teens, but we welcome individuals of all ages from the the bay area! Participants only need their laptops and we will provide instructions on how to start mapping on OpenStreet editor. There will be Mediterranean dinner provided(event is from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm) and also community service hours! The mapathon will help Palestinian villages get on the map and make them visible to the whole word, ensuring their right to exist. More details about event: 5: 00 pm to 8:00 pm Adobe Room, Mitchelle Park Community Center in Palo Alto Sponsored by Think Fund in Palo Alto. I have made a flyer.
