Far East Dragon Lion Dance Association entertained guests at the fourth Santa Clara Library Family Fun Night event on July 1. The youth group and lion dance troupe danced to traditional drum and cymbal music before the three lions went into the crowd, giving kids the chance to get up close and personal with the performers. The group then returned to the stage and explained how the lion’s ears wiggled, mouth opened, eyes blinked and tail wagged, before explaining how the jumps and twists are done. After answering questions, the performers suited back up and took photographs with the children and their families. For more information, visit www.fedliondance.org. On July 8, Alison Faith Levy will perform. Family Fun Nights take place at the Central Park Pavilion from 7 – 7:45 p.m.
