For the last eight weeks, the City of Santa Clara’s Cultural Commission has brought some of the most entertaining Bay Area acts to the Central Park Pavilion Stage. From orchestra and jazz to blues and rock, the Concerts in the Park series had a lineup of music to please nearly any palette. In its ninth and final week, Santa Clara welcomed Daze on the Green, a classic and 80s rock band. Daze on the Green, who asked to close the series, performed plenty of hits, but it was the band’s cover of Tommy Tutone’s 8675309/Jenny that finally got the crowd up and moving. Daze on the Green was a semi-finalist in KFOX’s 2010 Last Band Standing competition and plays the Los Gatos Food Fest on Friday, Aug. 22. Visit www.dazeonthegreen.com for more information and a full schedule of shows.
